Product description
MIXOL® - Tinting concentrates with metallic effect (aqueous concentrate)
Wide range of applications (glitter effect, brightening of effect glazes, etc.). Achievable effects from shimmering to full metallic tones. Successfully tested in a variety of materials (both water-based and solvent-based). Without binders.
No settling due to thixotropic setting. Almost infinitely combinable with organic MIXOL®-coloured tints (non-oxides).
Can also be partially used on white pigmented materials. All types of applications possible
The following materials have been successfully tested:
- wood stains
- Wall glazes (for interior and exterior)
- Nitrocellulose clear lacquers
- Polyurethane clear lacquers (solvent-based)
- Polyurethane-alkyd (solvent-based)
- Acrylic wood sealer (water-based)
- White interior paints (always do a pre-test!)
- Insulating paints (water-based) (always do a pre-test!)
- Decorative plaster spatulas (always do a pre-test!)
Attention:
Shelf life for a minimum of 18 months. Can dry out in air. Preliminary tests are very important.
Danger of overdosing - as transparent materials are predominantly mixed and MIXOL®- Tinting Concentrates with metallic effect have a high pigment content. On strongly alkaline materials, silver-tinted aluminium pigments can cause bubbles (hydrogen formation).
Solvent-based materials must first be tested for compatibility in a preliminary test, as MIXOL® Metallic Tinting Concentrates have a relatively high water content, which may lead to incompatibility with water-sensitive materials.
Materials containing white or coloured pigments must always be tested in a pre-test, as the pigments may "absorb" the metallic effect.
